Aimee Hartwell
LCSW, Certified Synergetic Play Therapist
If you’re looking for support for your child or for yourself, I provide a compassionate and understanding space where healing and connection can happen.
Hi, I'm Aimee, and as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Play Therapist trained in Synergetic Play Therapy, I believe every child—and every adult—deserves to be seen, understood, and accepted for who they are. I work with both children and adults, and I’m dedicated to helping families create a space where everyone can show up authentically.
Parents often come to me feeling overwhelmed, describing their child’s emotions as "zero to one hundred" or "too much." If this resonates with you, I’m here to help your family find more balance and regulation, bringing peace and restoration to your home.
With nearly a decade of experience working as a school social worker and Play Therapist, I specialize in helping children ages 3-14 with emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. I also offer therapy for parents and adults, so whether you’re seeking support for your child or for yourself, I’m here to help.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver, with a concentration in Family Systems, and I hold a Certificate in Animal-Assisted Social Work. Additionally, I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, allowing me to work with a diverse range of families.
Originally from California, I have a love for anything water-related, but I’ve made Colorado my home for the past 14 years, embracing the beauty of this landscape.
I can't wait to walk alongside you and your family to help you create a more peaceful, regulated home.
