Aimee Hartwell
LCSW, Certified Synergetic Play Therapist
Aimee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Play Therapist, trained in Synergetic Play Therapy. She is passionate about working with children and families and believes every child, and every human, deserves to be seen, understood, and is allowed to show up authentically in the world.
She joins Play Therapy Connection with 6 years of experience working as a school social worker in Denver Public Schools with children and adolescents ages 3-14. During her time in the public school system, she has provided direct educational, behavioral, and mental health services for children and youth, while working with families and other professionals to create supportive learning and social environments and eliminate barriers to accessing their education.
Aimee earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver with a Concentration in Family Systems and earned a Certificate in Animal Assisted Social Work. She is also bilingual in English and Spanish.
Aimee loves anything and everything water, growing up in California, but has embraced the beautiful Colorado landscape that she has called home for the last 14 years.
