Lindsay Stenzel
LCSW, Certified Synergetic Play Therapist
Hi, I’m Lindsay—a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Synergetic Play Therapist. I help kids and teens feel safe expressing their feelings, confident in who they are, and supported in the relationships that matter most.
If you're here, chances are you're feeling overwhelmed—maybe your child is anxious, melting down often, shutting down emotionally, or struggling to connect. You’ve tried to help, but something still feels off. You want your child to feel calm, capable, and understood… but you’re not sure where to turn.
That’s where I come in.With over a decade of experience supporting children and families through anxiety, trauma, big life changes, and emotional dysregulation, I bring a grounded, compassionate, and neurodivergent-affirming approach to therapy. I don’t “fix” kids—because they’re not broken. Instead, I help children feel safe enough to explore what’s going on inside, and I help caregivers understand what their child’s behavior is really trying to communicate.
Using Synergetic Play Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and a deep respect for each child’s nervous system, I create a relational space where healing can happen—on your child’s terms, at their pace, and with full acceptance of who they are.Kids and families often tell me they feel seen, not judged. That they trust me to walk beside their child through tough moments. That I bring clarity to confusing behaviors and calm to emotional chaos. I believe that real progress comes not just from strategies, but from connection.
Before entering private practice, I worked as a school-based therapist in the Jeffco School District, where I supported children from preschool through middle school. That experience gave me deep insight into how family, school, and community systems intersect—and how to advocate for your child across all of them.
I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver with a concentration in Children & Youth and certification in School Social Work. But more importantly, I bring curiosity, care, and collaboration into every session.Your child’s story matters. Your relationship with them matters. And healing is possible—together.
