Lindsay Stenzel

LCSW, Certified in Synergetic Play Therapy

Lindsay is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Synergetic Play Therapist with 10 years of experience working with children and families in both clinical and non-clinical settings. Lindsay has previously worked as a school-based therapist in the Jeffco School District, at the preschool, elementary, and middle school levels. She is passionate about supporting children to develop their ability to attune to themselves and emotionally regulate so they can show up in the world authentically and increase their capacity to face life's challenges head-on. Lindsay supports children facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, difficulty with emotional regulation, and traumatic stress.

Lindsay uses the tenets of Synergetic Play Therapy and Polyvagal Theory to inform her work and believes that all behavior is a form of communication, rather than just a list of symptoms. She also approaches therapy in a neurodiversity-affirming way and understands that each client has individualized sensory and support needs. Lindsay is passionate about creating a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship and has seen the powerful transformation that can occur within relationships.

Lindsay earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Denver with a concentration in Children & Youth and a certificate in School Social Work. She is passionate about collaborating with families and helping them navigate the various systems that children and families interact with to ensure children are receiving the support they need in all facets of life.
